FAQ
HOW DOES THERAPY WORK?
In order to best tailor therapy to each individual, I begin with a comprehensive evaluation so that I can understand your current difficulties and related history. We then discuss goals that you would like to achieve that align with your values and are aimed at improving your quality of life. I use these goals to direct our sessions and request feedback so that we can adjust the treatment accordingly. I will often suggest exercises to be completed between sessions to help apply what we have discussed to real life experiences. This overall approach allows our work to be collaborative, flexible, and results-oriented.
WHAT KIND OF PATIENTS DO YOU SEE?
I work with adults experiencing a range of symptoms typically related to anxiety, panic, phobias, OCD, depression, eating disorders and life stressors such as work, relationships, and general transitions.
HOW LONG DOES THERAPY LAST?
The length of treatment varies and depends on each individual's needs. I cater the length of treatment to best address the needs of each client and maximize productive change. While sessions are typically weekly, they can be scheduled on a more or less frequent basis (e.g., twice a week, every other week).
DO YOU TAKE HEALTH INSURANCE?
I do not bill insurance companies directly and I am not part of any networks. I am able to provide documentation for you to apply for reimbursement.
